Two summers ago, I added this skirt to my closet with a quick guide to mini skirts. Something I’ve noticed in my old blog posts from that time period is I really only focused on the base of the outfit. There was no mention of a purse or footwear anywhere.
Today, I care a lot more about the details and added accessories. They are important things to consider. What kind of bag would go well? What shoes make this outfit work? Even down to: Do the socks matter for this look? I want to make it a goal to continue being more thorough. Starting now, I’m going to try to be consistent in including jewelry examples, too.
In this post, I’m using the red mini to create three new expanded summer outfits. The outfits created today also really show an evolved sense of personal style in contrast to what I was wearing in that quick guide.
Summer picnic twist
Sitting in the grass with food? No thank you. But an outside patio restaurant moment at a good restaurant? That’s more my style.

Zara prep
The vibe is stomping through the city during a Brat summer evening.
